90's Grunge revival for 2012

Are the 90's Back?

Heavy make-up, big boots, flannel shirts, hats, leather and denim jackets. The 90’s fashion has made a massive comeback for 2012!

The early 1990’s was when Grunge first hit the British fashion scene, it was a “rejection of fashion”, the fitted and bright coloured clothes of the 80’s were out and loose, ripped, careless was in.

Grunge was made popular in the 90’s by punk and metal music, the likes of Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana
Frontman of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, is considered the image of Grunge with his laidback style of flannel shirts, baggy ripped jeans and Converse.

Back in 2012, the 90’s are back with a Grunge inspired trend, In 2012 Grunge is more glam and feminine.  Flannel, Plaid and Leather are back but are packed with studs and rips.
Denim jackets and shirts paired with floral dresses, or high-waisted shorts.
Big, chunky boots and creepers worn with slashed tights and shorts, or with jeans that have been bleached into the next century.
